Heavy Metal Rocks

The sixth annual Heavy Metal Rocks event was held on September 27 to 29, 2013.  Thirty senior high school students from the Central Okanagan School District rotated through a variety of stations learning how to operate heavy equipment.  Students gained knowledge of the diverse and rewarding career choices open to them as heavy equipment operators in the construction, oil and gas, forestry, civil and mining industries.
